LAcarGUY Celebrates Arbor Day By Planting Over 140 Trees
Over 30 members of the LAcarGUY family volunteered, along with the Tree Musketeers, the nation’s first youth-led environmental organization, planted more than 140 trees in El Segundo on March 12th in celebration of Arbor Day.
Arbor Day is designated, nationwide, to encourage tree planting, care and celebration. Each of the trees planted on Arbor Day will generate $163,000 worth of oxygen, air pollutant control, water recycling and soil erosion prevention, while sequestering 2.5 tons of CO2 over the next five years.
