New 2013 911 Carrera S Powerkit & Exterior Enhancement Packages
Porsche Exclusive had developed a new power enhancement kit for the 2013 911 Carrera S Coupe. Inspired by the dynamic properties of the new, 7th generation sports car, the new Powerkit boost the power of the 3.8-liter boxer engine from 400 hp to 430 hp. As a result, the 911 Carrera S Coupe powers from 0 to 60 mph in only 3.9 seconds with the PDK dual-clutch transmission in Sport Plus mode before topping out at 191 mph. The bonus is fuel economy has not been affected. Fuel consumption values in the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) are unchanged despite the seven percent power increase.
Enhancements include newly designed cylinder heads and camshaft profiles to offer better engine breathing. Also, modifications were made to the electronic engine management systems that are responsible for the power increase. The Powerkit also features a new variable resonance intake system designed with six air flaps and an additional resonance flap. Other performance changes include an additional center radiator, unique sports exhaust system and the Sports Chrono package with dynamic engine mounts. And to complete the enhancement, a titanium colored engine cover with carbon inlays highlight the Powerkit.
Porsche Exclusive has also developed aerodynamically tuned exterior components that offer unique levels of customization. Available are the Sport Design package that features open air intakes, a deeper front apron along with a fixed rear “ducktail” spoiler. The top-of-the-line upgrade is the Aerokit Cup that includes an additional fixed rear wing over the standard spoiler along with a special front spoiler lip with additional air intakes. Other accessories available in the new Porsche Exclusive line of products for the 911 Carrera include the Exterior package with various body components in body color and interior upgrades such as decorative trim ranging from brushed aluminum to carbon.
