Toyota of Hollywood and LAcarGUY.com are excited to sponsor the 2009 Los Angeles Femme Film Festival. LA Femme is a premiere festival that focuses on women filmmakers who create commercial films for a worldwide audience. The festival offers a unique opportunity for women
who seek a more creative approach to filmmaking as well as enabling domestic and international film distribution. LFIFF’s mission is dedicated to honoring all the contributions in entertainment by leading female directors, producers, writers and talent in cinema. The festival also supports the non-profit, Jonsson Cancer Research Foundation at UCLA for breast cancer.

LAcarGUY participates in Heal The Bay’s Coastal Cleanup
LAcarGUY employees had a great time on saturday participating in Heal The Bay's Coastal Cleanup. The event was a HUGE success with over 14,000 volunteers in attendance to clean up our beaches for 3 hours on Saturday. Heal The Bay also set a record for removing over 300,000 lbs of trash. Amazing job Heal the Bay. We were proud to be a part of the clean up.

Bio on Aaron Wachtfogel
Wachtfogel grew up on the sands south of the Manhattan Beach Pier where he started playing volleyball by begging for sets between his mother's games. During high school, he played outside hitter at Redondo Union High and led his team to the best season in school history while winning the Daily Breeze Player of the Year Award, Bay
League Most Valuable Player Award and garnering All-CIF first-team honors.
Mike Sullivan to be honored at annual Pipeline To A Cure Benefit
This years Pipeline To A Cure event will honor LAcarGUY's Mike Sullivan for his charity involvement with Cystic Fibrosis. Once again, LAcarGUY will be donating a 2010 Toyota Prius which will be auctioned off to help raise money for the charity (last year's Prius auction generated over $40,000!)
The evening will bring together the surf world to support the direct positive effect surfing has on those afflicted with Cystic Fibrosis. The event will feature a special headline performance from Shiny Toy Guns, along with former American Idol contestant Kai Kalama. Chris Cote, Editor-in-Chief of TransWorldSURF, will emcee the evening which includes a live auction with radio personality Shawn Parr.

Mike Sullivan to be honored by Richstone Family Center
The Richstone Family Center, a foundation dedicated to improving the lives of under-priviledged children and their families, is honoring Mike Sullivan at their annual "An Affair of the Heart" fundraiser.
Mike is being honored for his contributions to the charity and the community. The event takes place on Saturday, June 6 at 6:30 pm at Loyola Marymount University. We invite you to join us for a night of great food, wine and music. Click here for more info on the event and/or to buy tickets.
The Richstone Family Center was incorporated in 1974 in Hawthorne. In 1977 Richstone served thirty-five families in one program on one site. In 2004, Richstone served over 4,500 children and their families in 13 different programs based at five sites.
The half acre site at 13620 Cordary was purchased in 1979 and the adjacent acre in 1989. The Richstone Jim Murray Children’s Center was built on the new property in 1993-1994. At the same time Richstone staff was expanding programs into the Lennox community with the support of the Lennox School District.
With programs flourishing in Lennox, Richstone was able to focus on other community needs. In the last decade of the 20th century programs were started at other school districts, in Harbor City, in the beach sites, and culminating with the founding of the ‘Insuring Our Future’ for young women emancipated from the foster care system.
Richstone now offers services for children from birth to adulthood and for parents in their teens to grandparents in their sixties.
